Meet James Robinson, the mastermind behind Next Step Asset Finance and a talented professional drummer. These images are an update from a previous shoot during the lockdown in 2020. James has since opted for a sharp new haircut, warranting a fresh set of photos to showcase his new look.

We captured these shots at the Holiday Inn by the M1 near Wakefield, just after attending a networking event called The Business Network. Unlike my usual setup, I utilised the ambient light available in the hotel’s bar area, which offered superb illumination. I positioned James so that the light fell directly from above, creating a striking effect. To add a bit of visual interest, I included various objects in the background.
