Case Study: Professional Headshots for TCC Group at Broad Gate, Leeds

Client:

TCC Group, specialists in intelligent compliance for outcomes that matter, with a sister company, Recordsure, focusing on recording meetings with small devices.

Objective:

To capture high-quality headshots of the senior team during one of their group meetings, providing a range of professional, relaxed, and fun images suitable for various occasions and marketing needs.

Approach:

Our approach was designed to make the TCC Group’s executives feel comfortable and relaxed while capturing a variety of professional headshots in a stunning setting.

Stage 1: Location Selection and Planning

Given that the meeting was held at the beautiful Broad Gate facility on The Headrow in Leeds, we suggested using one of the balconies as our primary location. The white walls of the atrium provided a modern and impressive backdrop. We conducted a recce with Hana, the event organiser, and agreed that the balcony was perfect for our needs.

Stage 2: Setup and Execution

We set up our lighting on the balcony and organised for the executives to come up in twos and threes throughout the session. This setup allowed them to interact with each other, easing their nerves and resulting in natural and engaging photos. The stunning backdrop, combined with the relaxed atmosphere, made for fantastic headshots.

Stage 3: Photographing Recordsure Device

Between headshots, we took the opportunity to photograph one of Recordsure’s small recording devices. This added a valuable asset to their marketing materials, highlighting their innovative technology.

Stage 4: Delivering a Variety of Headshots

We provided three to four headshots of each executive, including:

• Serious and Professional: Perfect for formal presentations and professional profiles.
• Relaxed and Approachable: Ideal for marketing materials and team introductions.
• Fun and Engaging: Useful for social media and informal contexts.

Challenges:

The primary challenge was ensuring that each executive felt comfortable and natural in front of the camera. By organising small groups and providing a familiar and engaging environment, we successfully captured authentic and high-quality images.

Results:

The final collection of headshots perfectly captured the professional yet approachable nature of the TCC Group’s senior team. The images, set against the modern backdrop of Broad Gate’s atrium, highlight the dynamic and intelligent spirit of the company. Additionally, the photos of the Recordsure device added an extra layer of value to the shoot.
