Walker Singleton
Client:
Walker Singleton Chartered Surveyors, with multiple sites across West Yorkshire, including Huddersfield, Halifax, and Leeds.
Objective:
The project aimed to produce professional team and individual photographs for Walker Singleton’s marketing and PR needs. These images needed to be versatile for various uses, including their website, press releases, and promotional materials.
Approach:
Our approach focused on creating high-quality images that would be flexible and visually appealing across different platforms. Here’s how we executed the project:
- Initial Consultation: We collaborated with Laura at Walker Singleton to understand their specific requirements and the intended use of the photographs. This included individual headshots against a white background and group PR photos in prominent locations.
- Individual Headshots:
- Setup: We brought a portable white backdrop to each site, ensuring a consistent and professional look for all headshots.
- Lighting: Using two flashes, we achieved even lighting that highlights each individual’s features and provides a clean, crisp image.
- Flexibility: The white background allows for maximum flexibility in marketing materials, making it easy to integrate these images into various designs and formats.
- Group Photos:
- Locations: We chose iconic locations such as Leeds City Square, the roof of the train station, and around the Halifax building to capture dynamic and engaging group photos.
- Composition: Careful planning of each group shot ensured that the composition was visually appealing and appropriate for public relations use.
- Lighting: Similar to the headshots, we used multiple flashes to ensure the subjects were well-lit, regardless of the outdoor conditions.
- Professional Retouching:
- Special Process: We applied our unique retouching process to enhance the images, ensuring they were polished and professional.
- Consistency: Retouching was done meticulously to maintain a consistent look and feel across all images, making them suitable for various marketing and PR purposes.
Challenges:
Photographing in multiple locations and ensuring consistent quality required careful coordination and planning. Additionally, managing outdoor group shots with varying weather conditions and lighting posed a logistical challenge.
Results:
The final images provided Walker Singleton with a versatile and professional set of photographs. The individual headshots and group photos are now prominently featured on their website and used in press releases and promotional materials. The high-quality retouching and consistent lighting have helped elevate their corporate image.
