Headshot and Portrait Photographer Leeds: Real Faces, Creative Stories

Looking for a portrait photographer in Leeds? You’re not alone—and you’re not daft. A good photo does more than fill a frame; it tells your story, builds your brand, and helps you show up in the world looking like you mean business.
Why Book a Portrait Photographer in Leeds?
Leeds has its own flavour: the old mills, the shiny high-rises, the moody skies that flip to golden hour without notice. Local photographers know where the light hits just right and which backdrops won’t make you look like you’re in a generic stock shot.
Whether it’s Roundhay Park or a blank studio wall, the setting’s only half the job. The other half is knowing when to click: when your smile turns real, or your chin lifts just enough to show confidence not cockiness.
Headshot Photography That Actually Look Like You
Not your Year 11 school photo. Not some terrifying glamour-lit thing either. Proper headshots: warm, sharp, and genuinely you. Ideal for LinkedIn, press packs, websites, and even your gran’s mantelpiece.
What to Wear (and What Not To)
Bring layers. If you’re corporate, a jacket always works. If you’re in the arts, think textures and colour. Avoid busy patterns or massive logos—they draw attention away from your face. When in doubt, ask. Or bring three options and we’ll decide together.
Natural Smiles > Forced Grins
We’re not aiming for fake laughs. I shoot fast and talk faster—so you don’t have to do the heavy lifting. If it helps, bring a mate. Banter’s allowed. We’ll coax something out even if you hate having your photo taken.
Tailored Time-Based Shoot Packages
Here’s the thing. You’re not buying a number of photos. You’re booking a chunk of my time and experience. That’s why I run 2-hour, 4-hour and full-day sessions.
- 2 hours: Quick team headshots, simple setups, max efficiency. Ideal if everyone shows up on time and nobody blinks.
- 4 hours: A full brand story—headshots, workspace candids, maybe a few group shots.
- 8 hours: We go all in. Different locations, drone video if needed, and enough variety to feed your socials for months.
Office “Studio” or On-Location? Your Call
- Office: Controlled light, no weather issues, can disturb others working, busy walls, sometimes not enough room for lights
- On-location: Adds story. Think your office, workshop, or somewhere that screams “you”. Leeds has loads—brick alleys, shiny lobbies, rooftop views. We’ll pick what fits.
Corporate Headshots Without the Cheese
Tired of stocky smiles and lifeless lighting? Me too. That’s why I work in “team mode.” Either:
- Good Cop / Bad Cop: You stand next to me and chat to your colleague while I shoot. Gets proper expressions.
- Mini Crowd: Bring a few people in together. The daft comments and heckles help more than you’d think.
Leeds-Based, Yorkshire-Wide & National Coverage
Although most shoots happen in Leeds, I cover the whole of the north and beyond – London is just 2 hours on a train, so that’s very do-able. But if you’re in Bradford, Wakefield, Harrogate and even further afield, I’ll be happy to help. If you’ve got a team across multiple sites, we can plan a route and shoot the lot.
Professional Photography Pricing That Makes Sense
No weird package names like “The Unicorn Bundle.”
You pay for time—because that’s what determines how much we can do:
- More time = more setups, more expressions, more choice, more delivered photos
- Less time = quick’n’sharp, fewer shots, tighter focus.
You wouldn’t ask a plumber to quote per washer—same logic here.
Boost Your Brand with Real Images
Stock photos won’t cut it. Clients, employers and press want to see the real team. A few solid images can do more than a thousand buzzwords. Bonus: great portraits get shared more, increase engagement, and yes—can lead to better business.
So if you’re in Leeds or West Yorkshire and need portraits that actually look like the people you work with, shout me.
Let’s make something brilliant.
